Glass Polishing

Glass Polishing in South Florida.

Removal of etched water spots, micro-scratches and contamination from glass.

Hard water etching, salt spotting, mineral deposits and micro-scratches removed from windshields, side glass and hatches — then sealed with a hydrophobic coating that keeps visibility crystal clear.

About our glass polishing service

Salt spray, hard-water washdowns and mineral fallout etch yacht glass faster than most owners realize. Once the deposits bond chemically into the glass, no amount of washing will remove them — only mechanical polishing with cerium-oxide compounds will recover true clarity.

We use dedicated marine glass-polishing systems with the correct pad densities and machine speeds to remove etching without distorting optical flatness. The result is genuinely clear glass — not just clean — that dramatically improves helm visibility and the appearance of the entire superstructure.

Every polished surface is finished with a hydrophobic glass coating. Rain, salt spray and washdown water bead off, dry without spotting, and stay clear for months at a time.

What's included

  • Removes etched water and mineral deposits
  • Micro-scratch correction
  • Hydrophobic glass coating
  • Crystal-clear visibility from the helm
  • Safe on tempered, laminated and curved glass
  • Long-term protection against future etching

Our glass polishing process

  1. 1
    Inspection
We confirm glass type (tempered vs laminated) and identify etching depth so we apply the correct cut for the substrate.
  2. 2
    Cerium oxide polishing
Controlled machine polishing with marine-grade cerium oxide removes mineral etching layer by layer.
  3. 3
    Refining polish
A fine refining stage removes any haze and restores optical clarity.
  4. 4
    Hydrophobic coating
Diamondbrite, Gtechniq G1 or equivalent hydrophobic coating applied to keep glass clearer between washes.
Ideal for
  • Helms with chronic salt etching on the windshield
  • Side glass with hard-water spotting from dockside washes
  • Hatches and ports that have lost optical clarity
Materials & equipment
  • CarPro Ceriglass cerium-oxide system
  • Gtechniq G1 ClearVision Smart Glass coating
  • Diamondbrite marine glass sealant
  • Felt and foam glass pads, machine-controlled

Frequently asked about glass polishing

Why do my windshields look hazy even after washing?+

It's almost always mineral etching from hard water and salt spray bonded into the glass. Standard washing won't remove it — mechanical polishing will.

Is glass polishing safe on tempered marine glass?+

Yes, when performed at controlled speed with the correct pads and abrasive. We work in small sections to manage heat and confirm clarity panel by panel.

Will the hydrophobic coating affect my wipers?+

No. A correctly applied hydrophobic coating actually improves wiper performance by letting water sheet away cleanly.
