About our metal polishing service

Brightwork is the first thing the eye lands on when stepping aboard. It's also the first thing salt air destroys. Tea-staining, surface pitting and dull corrosion start within weeks if metals are not protected — and once the corrosion takes hold, only mechanical polishing will recover the original finish.

We polish stainless, chrome, aluminum, bronze and brass with the correct compound system for each substrate. Heavy pitting is leveled, surface corrosion is removed, and the metal is brought back to true mirror finish.

Every polished surface is sealed. For high-traffic items we use a sacrificial marine wax. For long-life protection we apply a metal-rated ceramic coating that holds back tea-staining and corrosion for 12–24 months.

Frequently asked about metal polishing

Can pitted stainless be saved?+

Surface pitting and tea-staining usually polish out. Deep pitting can be lessened and stabilized; coating afterwards slows future corrosion significantly.

How long until tea-staining comes back?+

Unprotected stainless can show tea-staining within weeks in South Florida. With a ceramic seal and freshwater rinses, expect 12–24 months between major polishes.
